Christopher Peters Facilitator
Chris Peters has considerable experience at Board Level consulting and advising. He is the Executive Director Of Centre For Corporate Governance, which is a unique consultancy offering specialised advice on a diversity of corporate governance matters including; board structures, directors' duties and responsibilities, director education, directors' fees, corporate law reform, and directors' insurance.
He was previously the Chief Executive of the Company Directors' Association and then the foundation Executive Director of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is now the Chairman of the Corporate Directors Association of Australia. Chris has been a member of; the NSW Attorney-General's Corporate Crime Task Force, the Commonwealth Attorney-General's Steering Committee on Corporations and Securities and a member (the only non-lawyer) of the Commonwealth Companies & Securities Legal Advisory Committee.
Chris is an author of the "Company Directors' Course" and of the "Company Directors' Manual" (published by Prentice Hall). He is a visiting lecturer on directors' duties and corporate governance at the University of New England, and is a visiting lecturer overseas. He has presented papers on directors' duties to many organisations including the NSW Law Society, the College of Law, NSW Corporate Affairs Commission, Corporate Lawyers Association, Business Law Education Centre, IIR's legal series, IBC's legal series, the Australian Society of CPA's, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Chris currently serves on the Board of three statutory authorities, two public companies, three incorporated associations and several private companies. |
