Rhae Hooper Career Coach
Rhae’s early career experience involved a number of middle and senior line management roles with medium and large corporates in Australia and the UK. More recently, Rhae has achieved significant success in her own right in private enterprise.
After two years in the IT department of a leading direct marketing company in the UK, Rhae spent seven years first with IBM (Australia) and subsequently with Xerox (Australia) where she was instrumental in the market launch and sales support of their then revolutionary LAN and other IT related products. Rhae’s final position with Xerox was as Product and Marketing Manager for this full range of products, many of which were the precursors to the windows-based products we are all familiar with today.
In 1986, Rhae launched her own business, The Right Type, specialising in training, overload bureau and recruitment. After fourteen years of profitable growth, TRT had in excess of 20 staff, operating out of two offices in the CBD and the Northern suburbs of Sydney. Rhae received an unsolicited offer from a Melbourne based personnel group, and subsequently sold the business in 2001.
As a founding director, Rhae was part of a small team that launched Innovations, a direct marketing catalogue, in 1985. Rhae continues to have a non-executive involvement in the Innovations group of companies, which is now one of Australia’s leading home shopping companies employing around 300 staff with annual turnover in excess of $100M.
Rhae is a Certified Transactional Analyst and is currently the elected President of the West Pacific Transactional Analysis Society, incorporating Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Rim. |
